Event Watchdog User Guide
Working with the Event Watchdog Widget
The Event Watchdog Widget monitors the status of DCMS.2 communications. If the DCMS.2 system experiences a disruption in communications with the data collection application, a warning will display in the Event Watchdog Widget "New Messages" list. The Site Administrator sets the Alert Message preferences, which includes activating the Alert Service, establishing the support contact information, and applying the Alert Message.
When there is a disruption in communications, the Event Watchdog Widget will list the Devices affected by the gap in service. Selecting the alert check-box and clicking on the Clear Selected Messages button will delete the communications alerts from the list. If you have recognized an alert and deleted it from the list, a new alert will reappear in the alert list if the communications disruption continues.
