Chart Widget User Guide
Working with Chart Widgets
The Chart Widget allows the User the ability to view traffic data collected by the DCMS system. The Chart Widget includes data summarized in a Chart, either in a Bar Graph or a Line Graph format. The data is collected from vehicle detection devices, like the Autoscope Video Vehicle Detection System, and their associated system detectors.
To Edit a Widget
To Edit a Widget, click the green "circle" button on the Widget Control Bar. An "Edit Settings" window appears to show the Widget's settings or preferences. Change the settings, and then click OK button to show updated Widget view.
The table below outlines the functionality of the Chart Widget components.

Detector Group
From the pull-down list, Select a Detector Group. Select the "Active" Detector Group to use the traffic data of the highlighted Device in the Map Widget view. |
Data Type
To create a Chart, Select the type of data you wish to view. The pull-down list will contain the available detector data collected by the detection Device, Total Volume, Average Speed, Vehicle Classification, Level of Service, Average Time Occupancy, and more. |

Time Frame
From the pull-down list, Select the period of time for your Chart.
Last Record - Data will continuously update in the Chart Widget as the DCMS system accumulates new data.
Last Hour - a summary of the data for the last full hour, starting at the top of the hour.
Current Day - a summary of the data for the current day, starting at 12 o'clock midnight.
Last 24 Hours - a summary of the data for the last full 24-hour period, 12 o'clock midnight to 12 o'clock midnight.
Click the Date radial button to enter a specific day to display your Chart. Insert the date text in the following format - (mm/dd/yyyy). |
Presentation
From the pull-down list, Select the type of Chart you wish to render, Bar Graph or a Line Graph. |
Resolution
From the pull-down list, Select the amount of time used to summarize the data, in 15 Minutes, 30 Minutes, 1 Hour, or 1 Day. |
Calculation Type
From the pull-down list, Select the way you wish to determine your data criteria, by Average (averaging the data) or by Raw Data (a summation) |
OK
Click OK button to view resulting Chart in the Chart Widget.
